The Perception of Our Self Identity

All of us are born into a world surrounded by the “culture of our family”. How we interact and with whom, what social groups and their belief systems influence us, and finally, what technological developments are a part of our daily lives, these are the building blocks of our future self-identity.

Together, all of these factors serve as a system of change impacting us as we face the physical, emotional and thought processes that impact our growth from childhood thru adolescence and into adulthood. Our health, personal relationships,

education, and social group identity are the influencers of how we perceive who we are on a daily basis. Ultimately, we funnel all of these factors through our thoughts.

The foundation for our self -image begins at birth and facilitates our thinking on a daily basis. While the systems that influence us are constantly changing, the challenge remains for us to always be aware of their impact on who we become. Again, it begins one thought at a time.
